NINH offers a variety of seminars to companies and members of the community. Training sessions can be provided via Zoom, on-site at your location, or at our office. The Sensory Processing Disorder seminar will focus on identifying difficulties resulting from differences in the processing of sensory stimuli. The three power systems (Touch, Vestibular, and Proprioceptive) will be examined, as well as the processing of visual, auditory, olfactory, and gustatory stimuli. Participants will learn to identify states of hyper- and hypo-arousal, as well as the techniques to assist in sensory modulation.

The Developmental Disorders seminar will examine the neuropsychological sequelae of such disorders as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Nonverbal Learning Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorders, Learning Disorders, and ADHD. Participants will discover the neurological underpinnings of these disorders and develop an understanding of the diagnostic criteria.
Eight hours in a one day session.
The Brain Plasticity seminar includes an overview of brain development, including the impact of genetic and environmental factors. Participants will then discover the brain’s ability to recover from insult occurring in childhood and adulthood.
Three hours in a one day session.
The ADHD seminar reviews the metamorphosis of the diagnostic criteria and examines various assessment tools. Participants will develop an understanding of the many co-occurring diagnoses and treatment modalities.
Four hours in a one day session.
The Autism Spectrum Disorder seminar examines diagnostic transformations through the DSMs. Participants will gather knowledge related to the genetic and environmental factors impacting the presentation of ASD. Additionally, various treatment modalities will be explored and evaluated.

Complex Developmental Trauma results from repeated exposure to abusive or neglectful circumstances. This seminar examines the alterations in brain development resulting from trauma, as well as the impact on learning and social functioning.

Integrative health care often brings conventional and complementary approaches together in a coordinated way. It emphasizes a holistic, patient-focused approach to health care and wellness—often including mental, emotional, functional, spiritual, social, and community aspects—and treating the whole person rather than, for example, one organ system. This seminar provides an overview of conventional and complementary approaches, and explores the patient- and community-centered models for implementation.
Four hours in a one day session.
The Neuropsychological Assessment seminar presents the process-oriented approach in conducting neuropsychological evaluations in children, adolescents, and adults. With an emphasis on observational skills, participants will learn to identify individual strengths and differences in the areas of sensory processing, cognitive functioning, memory and learning, attention and executive functioning, as well as social/emotional functioning.
